Students, the books you check out from the library will auto-renew. This means that the library's system will automatically renew the books you have checked out until the maximum renewal period is reached (end of the semester). Once the maximum renewal period has been reached, you must return the item. Auto-renewals do apply to reserve items.

Faculty, staff, and Emeriti can renew the books they have checked out through their online library account. To do this, follow the steps below (see the attached file for screenshots of this process).

  1. From the library’s website (www.bradley.edu/library), scroll down and click on “My Library Account” or use this direct link.
  2. Enter your BUnet ID information to log in.
  3. On the "Loans" page, you should find all of your loans (AKA items you have checked out) from Bradley as well as the I-Share institutions. (If the book is from another institution, click on the name of that institution on the left side of the screen to see the item(s) checked out)
    1. If renewal is available, click on the "Renew" button beside the item you want to renew.
    2. If the "Renew" button option is not available, that means you are not able to renew this item, and it needs to be returned to the library.

For employees, emeriti, and students, all books checked out through I-Share will auto-renew until the maximum renewal period is reached (end of the semester).

Public and alumni patrons must contact the library via email or phone to renew.
